Editor

A full-featured editor.
No browser required.

Write posts and pages with the full formatting toolkit: headings, tables, code blocks, links, and lists. Drag images from Finder directly into the document and Quill uploads them to your media library in one step.

  • Renders all in Gutenberg-compatible markup without the pain of using Gutenberg
  • Add links by searching through existing content like Gutenberg
  • Inline image resizing with drag handles and dimension fields
  • Support for the most common post and page metadata

Media Library

Your media library,
right there.

Browse your full WordPress media library without opening the admin area. A thumbnail grid with a details panel shows filename, dimensions, upload date, and source URL. Right-click any file to copy its URL, open in browser, or delete it. Upload with ⌘N, refresh with ⌘R.

Offline Writing

Write offline.
Publish when you're ready.

Quill allows to write completely on your Mac without the need to push to WordPress or have an active internet connection. Push drafts to WordPress, schedule posts, or publish directly.

  • Local drafts stored in SQLite, no internet required to write
  • Autosave every 30 seconds while you write
  • Unsaved changes restored automatically on next launch
  • Conflict detection if the post was edited elsewhere

AI Writing Assistant

An AI writing assistant tuned to your voice.

An optional writing assistant powered by the Claude API and the Haiku model. Transform existing content or write whole articles and review the result before it sticks.

  • Have Claude write entire posts with a prompt
  • Select text and expand, contract, or convert to a table or list
  • Learns your voice from your existing posts
  • Requires your own Anthropic API key but hidden if not configured
